This is the 2014 launch of Balvenie’s single malt Scottish Whiskey, aged in a combo of rustic oak and sherry casks and chosen by David Steward, Balvenie’s Malt Master. Former releases of the 30-year-old single malt have also earned plenty of rewards–these feature the 2013 edition which was awarded a Gold Medal at the International World Spirit Challenge and honored as the Best Speyside Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2012.
