Antiquary has been creating blended whiskies since the 1880s and this 21-year-old whisky is a culmination of its experience. It represents good value for money and displays notes of salted toffee, hazelnut bars and honeyed porridge. A strong all-rounder.
Nose: Waves of floral peat, oily, waxy notes of hessian and drying hay, backed by vanilla, cocoa, and coffee grounds.
Palate: Notes of dark poached plums and jammy wild berries, joined by chocolate-dipped orange wheels and smoky, meaty malt.
Finish: Cranberries, stewed red fruits, a touch of brine.
