Another stellar invention from the counter of Balvenie Malt Master, Sir. David Steward and a 17-year-old edition of the top-selling DoubleWood whiskey. The whisky is still aging in whiskey oak barrels before being transferred to sherry wood casks to complete–something that gives it that extra richness without being too strong.

This whisky has been matured for 14 years in traditional oak casks before being transferred to Caribbean rum casks to impart some extra flavor.

This process has created a well-rounded and drinkable whisky with notes of fruit and vanilla.

Eye: A wonderfully warm golden, almost ruby color.

Nose: A rich and complex bouquet of dried fruits (mainly prunes and raisins), with a citrusy note of orange zest rounded out with the earthy, woody aromas of a cigar box.

Palate: This marvelous marriage of aromas transfer onto the palate before a lovely long finish with a rich and mellow mouthfeel.

Colour: Rich Bronze

Aroma: A finely balanced nose, with substantial oakiness matched by fruit and luscious sherry notes

Taste: The taste is complex and seductively woody, emphasised by a floral sweetness
